Custom made 1974 Washington Stars Team set using the 1974 Topps San Diego Padres cards. I created this as a “What If” due to the sale of the San Diego Padres with a move to Washington DC. Topps did release some cards in 1974 with “Washington Nat’L Lea.” as the team name. However, the only known picture of a player wearing the new Stars uniform was Dave Freisleben. This uniform is currently on display in Nationals Park, home of the Washington Nationals. Each card is printed on 130lb card stock to give them the look and feel of the original cards from 1974.
